Wil Hodgson, Chippenham's very own award winning comedian and cult-favourite genderqueer punk storyteller, has been running the Chippenham Comedy Club in various venues across the Wiltshire town for over 20 years. It found it's true home at The Old Road Tavern and we have been there now for 10 years. Wil takes pride in showcasing the very best in alternative comedy. Over the years, people such as Phill Jupitus, Robin Ince, Josie Long, Russell Howard, Jon Richardson, Roisin Conaty, Kiri MacLean, Fern Brady, Jon Richardson, Reginald D Hunter, Gary Delaney, Pat Monaghan, Ian Cognito, Stewart Lee, Mark Thomas, Richard Herring, Desiree Birch, Jo Caulfield, Zoe Lyons, Pappy's Fun Club, Andrew O'Neill, John Robbins, Mandy Muden, Simon Munnery, Norman Lovett, Jen Brister, Issy Suttie, Bethany Black, Fiona Allen, Sooz Kempner, Danny Buckler and many more have all played Chippenham Comedy Club at some point.
